I am enrolled at Tulane University as a Freshman student. I was settling into my dorm room the weekend before Hurricane Katrina's landfall on the Gulf Coast, when we were told to evacuate New Orleans. I am currently in Texas attending my first semester of college, returning to
Tulane for my second semester.

Until August of this year, I spent my life in Southern California. I visited many universities and Tulane was my first choice. I am deeply sad for all that has happened in New Orleans since Katrina, but I am a believer in God and know that all things happen for a reason. This is a time for growth in personal character and religious commitment, as well as rebuilding a great city.
Although I am in another state doing my school work, I wish to be in New Orleans and Tulane to help in every way possible. I want to be a part of the rebuilding of the city better than ever: not just with better transportation system and stronger levy, but more importantly, with better people and stronger spirit.
I am touched when I see the efforts of organizations to help my fellowmen who have lost homes and material possessions. They are very much in need of good deeds. But I am concerned about the broken human spirit and the spiritual turmoil left by this type of devastation.
I am moved to do what I can from afar. Our first CD titled "Deliverance" was in production when the Katrina disaster occurred. We have made an additional edition of that CD dedicated to Katrina victims and survivors. This CD is being placed in the hands of families affected by the disaster in New Orleans, especially families with teenagers.
We are starting by producing 1000 copies of this Katrina edition with the financial support from my aunt's company. We are not looking for financial gain, reimbursement nor recognition for this action, we just want to help lift the spirits and the faith of the survivors.
